My new novel Through the Last Door is nearly ready to be released! I am so excited about this one. It's a fantasy/adventure m/m romance, with a cast of characters that I grew insanely attached to while I was writing the story. Possibly the first book in what I'm tentatively calling the "Sacred Guardian" series.

Here is the book's basic info:

When Kaori Sansa's father dies, he is forced to return home to claim the throne as the rightful heir of the country of Kazure. In the aftermath of his father's death, he learns that the country he loves is riddled with corruption, and is hovering on the brink of war. Will he be able to hold the kingdom together despite the odds that are stacked against it, and somehow unlock the buried powers of Shinja, the Sacred Beast of Kazure?

I love it when the words seem to flow faster than I can type them, and the characters seem to take on lives of their own. This latest book of mine, Through the Last Door, is turning out to be one of those. It's filling my head, living in my dreams, and all around consuming my life. I love it when this happens. Fantasy/adventure, m/m romance, dark in places but with a core of hope that makes it feel very real to me. It's left me shaking in places during some of the scenes that I've written. I can't wait to put the finishing touches on it and have it ready to share. So excited!

I'm just finishing up some last touches on Pathfinder 2 before sending it off to my publisher this weekend. It picks up the continuing adventures of Shai and Lorne in the futuristic city of Nhil-Rhar. 145,000 words, m/m scifi adventure. It's fairly plot intensive, but in a sexy way, with a lot of new characters that I grew very attached to. I'm really excited to share it with all of you!

Happy New Year to everyone! I hope you all have a wonderful 2014 filled with friends, family, health, happiness, and success in everything you set out to accomplish.

I've been busy writing these past couple of months and have finally finished the first draft of Pathfinder 2: The Ouroboros Prophecy. Now it's on to the all-important editing process, but at least the heavy lifting seems to be done. ^_^
