I have been hard at work writing the third book in the Sacred Guardian series, which is tentatively titled The Soul Forge. In it, the war with Shindor comes to a head while both Kaori and Hunter have to dig deep and face their personal demons in order to save the kingdom from enemies both within and without. Facing up to our fears is a major theme of this book -- Hunter is forced to come face to face with his traumatic past while Kaori wrestles with his fear of being the leader he needs to be in order to rule Kazure, while both of them struggle with the challenges of moving ahead with their relationship together. There are new characters as well as old in an adventure that spans entire nations, but finds its deepest moments in the hearts and souls of the characters I've grown to love.
I'm a good three quarters done with the book now and am heading into the final chapters. So far I am exceptionally happy with it, and I am so excited to share it with all of you. I'll post further updates as the story grows closer to being completed. Maybe I'll post a sneak peak here to celebrate closing the final chapter. ^_^

I am very excited to say that Eater of Dreams is now available!!! This is the second book in my Sacred Guardian series, following Through the Last Door. The books tell the story of Kaori, the young and reluctant ruler of Kazure, and his bodyguard Hunter as they struggle to protect their country (and each other) through the trials of political uncertainty, internal corruption, and ensuing war. I've always loved epic sword and sorcery fantasy novels but have been continually disappointed over the years that my favorites don't have more of a m/m flavor to them. This series is my response to that: fantasy, adventure, magic, intrigue, as well as a healthy dose of m/m romance. I fell in love with each of the characters as I wrote this story, and I hope you will, too. :)
Kaori Sansa has uncovered the truth about Shinja, the Sacred Guardian of Kazure, but the country he is sworn to protect is far from secure. War presses hard from the east, and unrest from within Kazure's borders threatens to undermine what little control he has managed to gain over his subjects. Furthermore, there are those who question his choice in pursuing a relationship with Hunter--quite possibly even those who are closest to him, and whom he has most come to depend upon. Will he find a way to sort through the miasma of lies, violence, and political entanglements that surround him in order to save the country he loves, yet somehow remain true to his own heart?
The first book in my Sacred Guardian series, Through the Last Door, is now on Kindle Countdown sale on Amazon. The sale will last from today through through Saturday, April 8th. Grab the book today for only 99¢! The price will increase incrementally throughout the week until it returns to the original list price of $4.99 at the end of the week.
When Kaori Sansa’s father dies, he is forced to return home to claim the throne as the rightful heir of the country of Kazure. In the aftermath of his father’s death, he learns that the country he loves is riddled with corruption, and is hovering on the brink of war. Will he be able to hold the kingdom together despite the odds that are stacked against it, and somehow unlock the buried powers of Shinja, the Sacred Beast of Kazure?

The proof copy for Eater of Dreams arrived today!!! I always get so ridiculously excited when I hold a book I've written in my hands. It doesn't ever seem real, not even when I flip through the pages and read random passages, and think to myself, "Hey, I really wrote this."
Can't wait for the book's official release. I'm already about twenty chapters into the third book in the series, which is thrilling me and breaking my heart all at the same time. The next book is going to be a very emotional journey for Kaori and Hunter. Their story makes both my fantasy/adventure-loving heart and my m/m-loving heart very happy. ♥

The short stories I've written as prologues to the House of Silence series are now being serialized on the Forbidden Fiction website. These are a series of snapshots detailing the boys' initial meeting with Charon, and some of their earliest experiences inside the House.
I really enjoyed writing in this universe and fell in love with each one of the characters there. It's been a lot of fun taking a look at these stories again. ^_^
Happy reading! :)
